Book Review: Scandinavian Design

Published by under Book Reviews,Resources

scandinavian design

One day I realized how my house had started to fill up with Scandinavian design, especially my kitchen and dining area. I have a dining room set, china hutch, and ceiling light from Denmark. I collect enamelware from Norway and wooden toys from Denmark. Those wooden toys I collect are sitting on the shelves from Sweden. As my love for Scandinavian design grew, I needed an all-in-one guidebook I can go to when I wanted to learn more about the design and/or designer – “Scandinavian Design” by Charlotte & Peter Fiell proved to be “the one” for me.

Rejuvenation’s Newest Addition to Mid-Century Modern Collection

Rejuvenation Gemini

I have been eyeing Rejuvenation’s Mid-Century Modern Collection for a while. When I get a “real” mid-century modern ranch dream house (my current house was built in 1955, but it does not have the right look), I already know where to go for lighting and cabinet hardware – but what about bath hardware and door […]

Pioneers of American Industrial Design Stamps

With all my bills being signed up for “autopay” and having a book of Forever Stamps literally forever, I rarely visit a post office – which doesn’t really break my heart. I hate standing in a line at the post office! Anyway… my niece’s birthday was coming up and I had to drag myself to […]
