Santa was listening. A day after Christmas, we finally got an offer on our house (on the market since August). The buyer offered full asking price and asked us to pay $1,520 for a home warranty and repairs (if any). That’s it – too good to be true, right? We accepted the offer right away. I am trying so hard not to get too excited. After all, nothing is final until we sign the closing documents and hand him the keys.
The sale will bring us enough cash to pay off my credit card, replenish our saving account and then some. We will also be released from double mortgage/utility payments madness! I no longer have to sell my collectibles on eBay and Craigslist for Keela’s vet bills! Whew! What a relief! We are now just keeping our fingers crossed – if everything goes well, the closing will be on February 6th.
I wished for two things this Christmas – 1) to be able to spend another Christmas with my dog Keela (who has lymphoma) and 2) get an offer on the house by the end of the year. I got both wishes – I am a lucky girl!
